Our Property, Then and Now...
The Preserve at Bingham Hill is located in the countryside northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado. Nearby sits Lory State Park, Horsetooth Reservoir, Rist Canyon and other popular outdoor destinations. The quaint communities of Laporte and Bellevue are just up the road.
After an interesting history of owners, the land on which The Preserve sits was purchased by The Pope Family in 1965. You can imagine it was quite a different setting then, but the hayfields tucked against the foothills with the Cache la Poudre River passing to the northeast was a little piece of heaven where the family raised hay and cattle and enjoyed all the land had to offer.
Randy and Sheryl Pope personally developed and built The Preserve as it's enjoyed today. From the main house to the 4,500 square foot event center, the waterfalls to the trickling creek, the sandy beach to the grassy backyard, this rustic yet modern, multi-use site is surrounded by mature evergreens and is lush with flora, fauna, wildlife and the quiet calm of nature.
Often called one of the most romantic settings in the Northern Colorado area, The Preserve at Bingham Hill never fails to inspire and delight its guests. We encourage you to explore our property below. Better yet, come visit and see for yourself!
The Covered Bridge
The Covered Bridge is a perfect backdrop for events. It offers couples a chance to incorporate country charm into their wedding nuptials. Wedding parties find this area to be the perfect blend of quiet charm, western flair and flowing waters.
The Bridge is vine covered and surrounded by flowers. Set against the backdrop of the foothills, it makes it the perfect spot for pictures or quiet kisses.
There are two Gazebos, each sitting over the shimmering pond. Each is an ideal quiet place to have a small outdoor meeting. Whether you are planning a day retreat for key employees or an executive business meeting, each area comfortably accommodates up to 10 people.
For weddings, either Gazebo fully captures the warm light from the setting sun. The bride can make her grand entrance across rolling green grass surrounded by family and friends to her waiting groom with an unobstructed view to all of the guests.
A wide white sandy beach surrounded with Colorado red rock gardens, a raised altar area and a three tiered waterfall complete this setting. It is a unique spot for corporate meetings, team building, and other activities.
The Beach is a beautiful location for weddings, graduation parties, reunions, and celebrations in general. The white sand offers guests the chance to have a beach experience without having to fly away to a remote location.
The Event Center
The Event Center offers the flexibility to accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions, parties, indoor meetings, team building activities, luncheons, dinners, or recreational events. With views of the outside looking over the tree covered grounds, this room allows meeting participants to embrace a wonderful outdoor setting in the comfort of the indoors.
The Event Center can be transformed into an elegant setting for the most discerning taste. Guests have access to a full catering kitchen, restrooms, and changing rooms.
The Front Lawn
Surrounded by a trickling brook, Colorado red rock, flowers, trees, a pond teeming with bass, gazebos, a covered bridge and a sandy beach, lies the Front Lawn, an expanse of lush, green grass that plays a central role in nearly every event at The Preserve. Whether guests are seated for a ceremony, a celebration, or a retreat, the beautiful setting comes complete with the sounds of nature and the convenience of our modern facilities.
